Two Journeys Through Sicily

In the spring of 2010, my parents, Paul and Elaine, traveled to Sicily for vacation. My father had always wanted to visit the island and retrace the steps of Gen. George S. Patton and his Seventh Army as they raced to Messina. My father did not come home from that trip, but I know that the last days he spent there were some of the happiest of his life.
